Texas School Alliance leaders and members have identified the following priorities for the session of the Texas Legislature that begins January 14, 2025. Member districts will work with legislators in support of these priorities throughout the 140-day session:
Increase school funding
Balance property-tax relief with investments in schools
Strengthen teacher recruitment
Increase support for workforce development programs and courses
Maintain local flexibility regarding instructional materials
Ensure transparency in the accountability system
Offer school-choice options that are accountable to parents and the public
